NEW! Tips and Tricks

Come out for a short class to learn some great tips and tricks to improve your knitting. You’ll also have the chance to ask questions from one of our excellent instructors about any challenges you’re having with your knitting.

What It's All About

Come out for a short class to learn some great tips and tricks to improve your knitting as well as ask questions. The "agenda" for this class includes showing you how to:

  • work a provisional cast on (first class) and remove it to put your stitches back on the needle (second class) and discuss the many ways a provisional cast on comes in handy;

  • picking up stitches along an edge neatly;

  • making i-cord on 3 and 4 strands;

  • weaving in ends;

  • how to work duplicate stitch (for decoration and to repair stitches);

  • how to graft seams (also known as the Kitchener Stitch);

  • answering your questions...

Bring along a pattern and/or a project that you're working on and ask questions! We'll add your questions to our agenda and if they can't be covered in the first class, they'll be answered in the second.

Skill Level

Advanced Beginner: you are comfortable and confident with basic knit and purl stitches. You have completed one or more projects on your own and want to learn new techniques.
