We wanted to let you know about Yarn Okanagan! It’s not a River City Yarns event but it’s an event worth checking in to…
Yarn Okanagan is a fibre, yarn and education event at the center of the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. The organizers’ mission is to bring like minded fibre craft enthusiasts together for an innovative and creative weekend of knitting and fibre art. For more information about the event, visit www.yarnokanagan.com.
The marketplace is housed at Laurel Packinghouse, 1304 Ellis Street in Kelowna, B.C. and workshops are taking place at at the Rotary Center for the Arts on Cawston Ave and the Ellis Art Studio, just down the street from the marketplace.
There will be learning opportunities as well! Learn a new skill from BC fibre craft experts! Dyeing, weaving and knitting classes are available. Check here for more details.
It’s a bit of a drive for us Albertans… but worth the get-away! Find a friend (or two) and make a weekend of it!
