What It's All About

Is it knitting or crochet?!? Not that we think crochet should look like knitting, however, this hat will have folks doing a double take for sure! Designed by the talented Tara Murray of Mamachee Designs, the Two-Tone Beanie is constructed vertically using slip stitch crochet.  In this workshop, you will follow a pattern and learn how to: use slip stitches as the primary pattern stitch; change yarn colours on both the right and wrong sides of your work; do short row shaping for the crown; and do a virtually invisible seam.  Additional design features such as adding a Pompom and using more than two colours will also be discussed.

In class, you'll work on the toddler size beanie with yarn that we'll provide for you. Work out all the techniques on this small size hat and then try your hand at crocheting a child or adult size at home. We know you won't stop at one once you get going!
