Holli Yeoh: Mending and Repairing Holes
Holli Yeoh: Mending and Repairing Holes
We spend too much time on our hand knits to throw them away when they get a hole. In class we'll learn about Swiss darning, stocking darning, patches and repairs, both visible and invisible. The techniques are transferrable to commercially made garments, as well.
What It's All About
We spend too much time on our hand knits to throw them away when they get a hole. In class we'll learn about Swiss darning, stocking darning, patches and repairs, both visible and invisible. The techniques are transferrable to commercially made garments, as well. Join Holli Yeoh for a three hour, hands-on repair class. You'll learn Swiss darning, stocking darning and how to use a knitted patch to repair a hole. Holli will demonstrate how to use decorative embroidery as a repair strategy and you'll try out needle felting to repair small holes as well. And to make sure you don't have any "holes" in your repair notions, RCY has made up a special repair kit for you!
