What It's All About

Before you begin knitting, you should really consider your finishing techniques. Holli will show you tips and tricks that will make your finishing easier and more polished, rivalling commercially made garments. In this skill-building workshop we’ll work on your cast on, selvedges, fully fashioned increases and decreases, tension and neckline shaping. For the full finishing experience, we recommend that you also sign up for Finishing Techniques II.

About Holli Yeoh

Holli Yeoh is a Vancouver knitwear designer who has been self-publishing knitting patterns and teaching knitting techniques for well over a decade. Holli’s work appears regularly in magazines such as Vogue KnittingNoro Knitting and Twist Collective as well as several popular books including the 60 Quick Knits series and most recently, Garter Stitch Revival, a book published by Interweave Press. Please Bring:

  • a small amount (25g or more) of worsted weight yarn in a light to medium colour
  • 4.5 mm (US 7) knitting needles
  • smallest sized knitting needle you have (2 to 3.5 mm / US 0 to 4)
  • yarn needle
  • basic knitter’s toolkit (scissors, locking stitch markers, measuring tape, pencil

Other important info that you should know about...

  • You have to pay the registration fee in advance to hold your seat. You can pay online or call the store at 780-477-9276 to make a payment over the phone.

  • Cancellations? We know you have every intention of coming, but life happens, so we need a cancellation policy, and this is it: 

    • If you cancel 7 days (or more) prior to your workshop date, we will refund your registration fee less a $25 administration & service fee. 
    • No refunds will be made if you have to cancel less than 7 days before your class is scheduled to begin. If you are unable to attend, you may ask a friend to take your place.
    • If minimum enrolment is not met we reserve the right to cancel the class. A full refund of your registration fee will be given should this situation arise.
