What It's All About

Take on an “Epic” project and knit a beautiful garment. We've asked designer, Holli Yeoh, to come to River City Yarns and get you off to a great start. In this full day (six hour) workshop, you’ll learn how to: execute the lesser-known stitches and double bind-off that are featured in this design, keep track of rows in two separate stitch patterns with a specially designed "cheat sheet" and measure and deal with stitch gauge vs row gauge. Holli will discuss how to measure yourself (or the intended wearer) and where to make modifications, if necessary, for your best fit. Wrapping up the technical part of the workshop will be a discussion and demonstration of finishing techniques and how to care for your beautiful wrap.

When all the techniques are ironed out, you’ll cast on your Feather Cardigan Wrap! With your cheat sheet filled out and markers in place, you’ll be off to a fantastic start. We’ll follow up your awesome start with a Knit-a-Long (KAL) to give you moral support along the way.
