Kari M. made this cute, cute little hat from an Aurelia "topknot" (wool roving) she purchased at the store. |
|
Sue T. has been using up small balls of Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino making cute and adorable hats. The hat is knit in a main colour with a dual coloured knotted “antennae” on top. |
|
And our friend Patty P. who came on Wool, Wine and Wheels 2007 with guest Lucy Neatby, knit up this beautiful adaptation of Lucy’s “Duck Sweater”. Socks too - from yarn spun by Cynthia H. |

| And Kim L has been very busy as well. She’s expecting another bundle of joy… which may explain all the wee baby knits! Pictured below, from left to right: a Duffle Coat and matching booties from a Debbie Bliss design (using Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino); two pairs of booties made from leftover Socks that Rock in colourway “Barney Rubble” and Araucania Alpaca; the Dream in Colour Tulip Jacket and a sweet pair of leggings with Handmaiden handpainted angora “Peter Rabbit”. |

Last March, Christine V. bought 3 skeins of Socks That Rock Heavyweight, with the intent of knitting Fiber Trends' beautiful Shoalwater Shawl from it. "I had looked everywhere for a variegated blue, DK weight yarn, and was so happy to finally find it in your shop, in the Socks That Rock "In The Navy" colourway." The project hibernated for most of the year until this spring, when she buckled down and finished it. The shawl is gorgeous. Christine knit the DK version, exactly to pattern (6.5mm needles) and used 2.4 skeins of STR. Nice work, Christine - it's beautiful! |
| Kathleen L. knit a Fiesta Mitten in Louet Gems Black and Cat's Pajamas Fiery Fuschia. Don't they look lovely? (Mouseover to see the other side.) |
|

Sue T has been busy making baby socks for her soon-to-be grandbabies. Aren't they sweet? (Mouseover for another view.) |

Aren't these guys sweet? Here are some pictures from our last needlefelting class with Calgary artist, Jill Nuckles. Talk about talent! Can you believe that all these students were beginners? |

Barb N. used Crystal Palace Kid Merino in the Roses colorway and whipped up the Airy Scarf from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. She used a 6.5mm needle to knit up this scarf in a single night. |

Note the handknit items on this little girl. She has socks, mittens and hat! Mouse over for a close up of those nice socks! |

Barb B. and Ruth R. have been busy... Barb has completed a shawl (design by Sally Melville) |
 |

 |
Ruth R. has been knitting scarves (among other projects). The white scarf is made from Rowan Big Wool. |
| Just before Christmas, Sue T. sent in a picture of her "gifted" knitting: from left to right: 2 pairs of socks in Austerman Step yarn, 1 pair in Socks that Rock (Sue's personal favourite yarn), scarf, headband and wrist warmer set knit in Noro Silk Garden and edged in Molash, scarf made from Noro Silk Garden, scarf made with Suri Prism, more Austerman Step socks and patterned socks made from Lucy Neatby Celestial Merino. Wow! Good work, Sue! |
|
| Using Fortisimma Socka, these cute "sockettes" pictured below were knit up in record time by Gloria R. using a sock pattern without the leg. Do your cuff and work the heel! (Mouseover for another view.) |

| Good friends, Ilene W. and Jane Anne F. work on projects (sock: above L and scarf: above R) during the Drop-In Knitting Circle at RCY. |
Judith K. models her recently knit "Einstein Coat". This design is from Sally Melville's book, the Knit Stitch (it's done in garter stitch... no purling required!) Judith used Alafoss Lopi (yarn). Mouseover enabled) |

Here is a great example of a lovely shawl. The pattern is found in Sally Melville's book, the Purl Stitch. (Mouseover enabled) |

Go, Oilers, Go! Cheerng on the Edmonton home team in true colour, knitter Stephanie M. worked up this sweater for her husband using Riverstone Chunky by Louet. |
|
