In this newsletter we feature great gift suggestions for all the “MOM’s” out there, idea’s for graduation’s and summer weddings as well as some fun in the sun, portable projects, perfect to take with you for vacations or long weekends.

Bikini Workshop – If you want to knit a perfect fitting bikini – now is your chance! We are using Katia Cotton Comfort, a special yarn containing Lycra to keep its fit even when wet. We are now taking names and phone numbers for this workshop (4 two hour sessions) and will book it when we have 4 to 6 participants. $65 plus materials
Felted Handbags - Designer Trina Gendall will teach you how to make a bag that will stand out from all the rest! We are offering two more classes before summer - May 11 & 25th – 6:30 to 8:30 PM and May 31 and June 14th – 4:30 to 6:30 PM $45 plus materials
Knitting 101 – Come and join us on Thursday afternoons from 4:30 to 6:30 and learn how to knit or how to knit better! Stay on for Knitting 102 and learn even more. K101 – 2 sessions $45 K102 – 4 sessions $75. Book 101 and 102 together and save $25 – all 6 sessions for $95. Call to book a seat.
Magic Ball – Wondering what to do with all those “scraps” of yarn and leftover balls? Make a magic ball and knit it into a wonderful scarf, shawl or afghan. Sign up now, May 9 and 16th – 4:30 to 6:30 PM. $50

Felted Slippers – One of our most popular workshops - Sunday May 7th and 21st – Noon to 4 PM (for beginner knitters) - Learn how to knit in the round, turn a heel and do toes as well as learn how to felt. Good project for beginners, nice intro to socks and a great way to test your washing machine for felting! $45 plus materials




Customer’s Projects

One of the homework assignments in Dorothy Burridge’s knitting class was to knit a hat. We all wondered who Dorothy would give it too - it turned out so nice. Well, the wait is over - Here’s a picture of the proud recipient, Dorothy’s dog Bentley, modeling his “Cool Canadian Cap”.
